Foul Territory A Baseball PodcastJed opens Episode 5 of Foul Territory: A Baseball Podcast by sharing his weekend outing to an Angels game — his mom’s first-ever baseball game. And, apparently, it won’t be her last. Jon and Jed then review the management memo they received from the “Powers that Be” asking that they sure up a few things moving forward before discussing Dodgers phenom Julio Urias’ not-so-phenomenal debut, Hector Olivera’s 82-game suspension and the devastating affect it will have on the Braves, LA skipper Dave Roberts pulling *GASP!* Clayton Kershaw mid-inning, trade rumors on the rise, the Dodgers’ using GPS devices and the Mets crying “Foul!”, how the San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus got shafted, the excitement surrounding *yawn* the College World Series regionals and Texas’ famed manager Augie Garrido’s “re-assignment.” There’s also a new installment of Starting Nine, featuring players with war-related names in honor of Memorial Day. The White Sox and Giants are the subjects of this week’s Rigney’s Believe It or Not! and 3UP/3DOWN fames Marcell Ozuna, David Ortiz and Rich Hill, and shames Brett Gardner, Gio Gonzalez and Nolan Arenado. Finally, as is customary, the show concludes with Extra Innings, which brings us outside-of-baseball commmentary on Mexican soccer star Alan Pulido’s escape from abduction, the Warriors win over OKC, Amber Heard and Johnny Depp’s doomed-to-fail marriage/divorce and the sad news of the Gorilla killed at the Cincinnati Zoo.
