Brian Standiford is a freelance writer in the Baltimore area. He was raised on "Oriole Magic" and is old enough to remember October baseball at Memorial Stadium. He is committed to following the Orioles no matter how closely related to torture it may seem to be. He owns a small contracting company, plays an unfortunate game called golf and belongs to the Golfweek Amateur Tour. He is an avid backpacker and spends at least 30 nights a year in wilderness areas.
