For the second year in a row, Angels owner Arte Moreno lands the biggest fish in the free-agent pool by signing Josh Hamilton.

The news came down early Thursday afternoon, Josh Hamilton had signed a five-year contract … but it wasn’t with the Texas Rangers. Instead, Hamilton signed a contract reportedly worth $125 million with the division rival Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

Fans from both sides reacted immediately, with mostly negative responses from the Rangers side. It didn’t help matters when Rangers general manager Jon Daniels told the media he was disappointed that Josh didn’t keep his word about letting Texas have a chance to match any offer he received.

We react to the signing and talk about an offseason that continues to be nothing more than disappointing. At least for now.
