[caption id="attachment_33924" align="alignright" width="300"] Clint Frazier may have the best power in the 2013 MLB draft.[/caption] Few were able to captivate an audience quite like Clint Frazier did this year. The legend was growing already, but on March 12 of this year, it reached epic levels. It actually started before the main event did. In a much anticipated game between Frazier’s Loganville team and good friend Austin Meadows and his Grayson team, the 6’-1”, 190-pound right-hander, blessed with some of the best bat speed you will ever see, ignited the crowd before the game, hitting 23 home runs in batting practice. He also threw a strike from mid-center field, showing off his canon arm that has been clocked at 98 mph from the outfield. He then went on to blast two home runs en route to a 14-4 mercy-rule win in front of at least 100 scouts. The first one was a blast into the trees in left that one scout said was the farthest ball he had ever seen hit by a prep player. The second one sent the crowd home in a tizzy. After hitting .424 with 24 home runs over 114 at-bats as a junior, expectations were high for Frazier. He didn’t disappoint as he finished his senior year hitting .561 over 32 games with 17 home runs, 45 RBI and a 1.134 SLG. He was named the National Gatorade Player of the Year for his efforts. I had a chance to interview Frazier twice over the past year and you aren’t going to find a more humble and nicer kid. He knows he’s good, but you won’t hear him talking about it. He plays the game at breakneck speed and he has a presence about him that makes him a stop-and-watch player, meaning you aren’t going to the bathroom when he is up at the plate.
