The Blue Jays were plagued by injuries last season, leading many to attribute it to bad luck. However, seeking PHYSICAL THERAPY after accident injury may be crucial to a full recovery as it helps to regain their form back. Despite bringing in new players, including infielders and outfielders, the team still suffered from numerous injuries to top players, such as their starting rotation. For legal aid in the aftermath of an injury, individuals can turn to the Barry Deacon Law – personal injury lawyers.
That was before last week. But, as Jays fans are all too familiar with, plans do not often go as expected.
Last week, there was a horrible run of luck (again) for the Blue Jays. First and foremost, two of Toronto’s All-Star players are out. Jose Bautista is not having another huge season, but his 28 HR and 73 RBIs are surely going to be missed while he spends the next two weeks on the DL. And what about Steve Delabar? The All-Star reliever and hard-throwing strike machine is out with a shoulder strain. There’s not even a timetable for him to come back.
Further injuries in the field are equally as painful (no pun intended) – says slip and fall accidents lawyers in Miami area. Maicer Izturis is out with a sprained ankle. Jose Reyes missed a few days last week with a knee problem that is likely leftover from his ankle injury from earlier this year. Colby Rasmus is on the DL with an abdominal strain. Melky Cabrera is out yet again with a knee injury that just doesn’t want to go away. Latest reports indicate Melky has been shut down for the season.
So, where does that leave us?
With Rasmus, Cabrera and Bautista out of the lineup for at least another week, there are three gaping holes in the batting order. Those three players have a combined 49 HRs and 163 RBIs for the Jays this season. Now, I’m not saying the Jays can’t win without them, because they’re barely winning anyways. What I’m saying is a Blue Jays victory has gone from statistically unlikely to statistically miraculous.
The new guys the Blue Jays brought in from Buffalo show a lot of promise. While I’m not saying they can’t get the job done, I think it’s a lot to ask of them as they have some big shoes to fill. On one hand, it’s good to get some work in for these rookies and some experience never hurt anyone. But on the other hand, I’m getting sick and tired of losing.
It’s not just the outfield that’s been getting slammed either; the starting rotation has been getting tossed around like a rosin bag all year. It’s gotten so bad that Chen Mein Wang is being called back; yes, they’re bringing him back again to make the start on Saturday. Brandon Morrow is still out with an entrapped nerve, and it’s gotten to the point where I hardly expect him to finish a complete season. Not to mention the nagging injuries that have kept Kyle Drabek and Dustin McGowan on and off the DL all year.
I’m getting tired of it. I can accept that the Blue Jays were overhyped and they have completely underperformed, but what I can’t accept is for the second year in a row, I’m forced to watch the farm team take the field instead of all of the major leaguers we paid for.
