Get Out and Grill: It’s spring grilling season!

If only hot dogs looked this good at games ...

Baseball and grilling go hand in hand. I absolutely love heading out to the ballpark for a 1 p.m. game and then heading home afterward to drink some beer and hang out with a few pals while grilling out. I’m looking forward to those cool summer evenings, drinking some beer and grilling those tasty hamburgers … it’s almost heaven thinking about it.

If’ you’re itching to fire up the grill, you need to see this video with some surefire tips from grill master Chris Lilly and MLB’s Mitch Williams (remember him?). You can see those recipes and tips featured in this video.

For those who don’t remember Mitch, he was nicknamed the “Wild Thing” during his 11 MLB seasons, which included a career-high 43 saves in 1993. He’s since been involved with the food industry and has teamed up with MLB and Kingsford on its new “Get Out & Grill” campaign. I really wish I was in his spot!

Check out Kingsford’s new “Get Out & Grill”  home run recipes at grilling.com/homerunrecipes. They have a super lineup of recipes from every region in the U.S. I had to check out the recipe for my current location (Pittsburgh), which features a “Grilled Flank Steak Grinder” — this picture says it all — created by football analyst Mike Golic. Seems like a winner to me — I’ve already hit print to save the recipe.

Golic also created the “New York Grilled Sausage & Pepper Grand Slam Grinders” that are pictured along with this post. It makes my mouth drool just looking at them, to be honest.

I tend to throw way too many ingredients when grilling out, but I do enjoy it. It’s time to get the grill out folks, so let me know what your favorite recipes are!

Here’s the video on MLB with Kingsford and Wild Thing!
