TTFB presents a new NAIA Baseball Rankings, one centered on a strength index of how a team has competed thus far to a point in a season. In a nutshell, a higher ranking team has fared well against current strong opponents while lower ranked (and some high ranked) teams lose points for “bad” losses.
You’ll notice a tie isn’t in any records below. We hate ties and we award no points for such a result. It’s basically a game that shouldn’t have ever been played and according to our records, it never was played. This isn’t soccer.

Tennessee Wesleyan – Eight straight weeks at #1 in our NAIA Baseball Rankings. Impressive, but Southeastern and Cumberlands KY are within striking distance for the next week.
NAIA Baseball Rankings: Trending Up
- Webber International peaks into the top 20 after sweeping Keiser.
- Vanguard is up 36 spots to #27 in the JSI. Vanguard took three of four from #12 Westmont.
- Mount Vernon Nazarene is 9-1 in their last ten, up 28 spots to #47 with a 20-8 record.
NAIA Baseball Rankings: Trending Down
- #12 Westmont and #16 Middle Georgia State were both knocked out of the top ten. Westmont lost three of four to Vanguard (who was coming off being swept by #57 Lewis Clark State) while Middle Georgia State was knocked around by #4 Faulkner in a sweep. Faulkner put up 47 runs in three games.
- #48 Warner and #55 Keiser both were swept over the weekend. Both were ranked or RV in latest coach poll. Warner dropped 17 spots while Keiser dropped 12.
- After sweeping Vanguard in four games, Lewis Clark State College got swept by #150 Corban. Then they swept four games against #188 Oregon Tech. The up and down season, JSI had them dropping 27 spots to #57.
