Taking a look at some prospects trending in keeper fantasy baseball dynasty leagues, there’s various reasons why a prospect will start to trend. Some of these names on this list you will not recognize, as they are deep dives, but hopefully you can use the information below to possibly target that player as well. Here’s who’s currently trending up.
SS Yiddi Cappe – Marlins – Yiddi is a 19 year old international free agent signee in 2021 that currently ranks as Miami’s 12th best prospect. He is trending however, as he has been raking all year, and after a call up to A ball, he’s turned on the burners even more. Batting .391/.423/.435 in his first six games in A ball, after hitting .305/.364/.517 with six homers through 30 games in RK ball. Fantrax, recently updated their prospect rankings for dynasty checked him in as #223 (out of 400) on their top prospects list after not being ranked at the start of the year.
1B Niko Kavadas – Red Sox – Niko is absolutely tearing it up this year, his first full year in the majors, after having a successful career for Notre Dame. Kavadas, drafted in the 11th round, is batting .305/.467/.658 with 24 home runs for A+ Greenville. He doesn’t offer any speed and has similar projections to Matt Olsen, a double/home run kind of guy. Kavadas went from not ranked to #276 on fantrax list.
UT Addison Barger – Blue Jays – A sixth round draft pick in 2018, Barger didn’t offer up much the first two years, then covid happened, and tore it up last year. Not many bought into it as his struggles came when he was promoted from A to A+ towards the end of the season. But, Barger tore up A+ this year, batting .300 with 14 long balls and seven stolen bases in only 69 games. 69 must have been the magic number for him as this time he was promoted to AA and has absolutely demolished the pitchers there, batting .426/.481/.723 through 13 games. Barger doesn’t appear on any top prospects list, but that will surely change if he keeps this up.
