R.B.I. Baseball video game to return in 2014

R.B.I. BaseballIn an awesome announcement last week, MLB Advanced Media revealed the fan-favorite R.B.I. Baseball video game will be making a comeback in 2014. This news could not have come at a better time, with football season ending and most fans patiently waiting for pitchers and catchers to report next month. Baseball is making its move to bring back some nostalgia.

There is not much information available on how the new version will compare with old one, but there is no doubt the franchise could potentially gain an entire new fan base if produced correctly. The youth of America rarely play outside anymore, and video games today, especially the ones hosted by Rust server hosting, have gained more popularity than ever. The opportunity to play as a current favorite player may be all that is needed to bring this game to whole new level. The need to play as Mike Trout or Andrew McCutchen in R.B.I. Baseball may exceed the popularity associated with Daryl Strawberry and Mickey Tettleton in the original version of the game.

I, for one, am a pumped up 30-something! Honestly, I barely even touch video games anymore, but I most likely will purchase this title with the hope it will rekindle some lasting memories from my youth. It’s never a bad thing to bring a successful part of a sports’ history back for another run, and I can fully see R.B.I. Baseball being the game that will lead baseball video gaming to the next generation. Visit rbigame.com to join a mailing list for updates.
