While the entire Major League Baseball fan base was focused on the All-Star Game and the Manny Machado watch Tuesday evening, the Savannah Bananas of the Coastal Plain League gave the Seattle Mariners’ “Turn Ahead The Clock” night jerseys a run for their money for most creative uniforms in baseball.
For their “St. Patrick’s Day in July” promotion, the Bananas ditched their yellow baseball pants for yellow plaid kilts. Yes, you read that correctly, kilts.
Unfortunately for the Bananas, rain in the area postponed the game, and the festivities (and kilts) will resume on the rescheduled date of July 25th.
