Hello Followers,

Well, it has been about a month since my last post. I was expecting to write a blog earlier but something occurred in my life and prolonged an earlier post. On July 15th after the game I was called into my coach’s office to talk. Going into this meeting I was not confident about what was going to happing. The manager told me to close the door and informed me what every player does not want to hear. I was told that the Toronto Blue Jays did not see me in their plans for the future. Being released is something that no player wants to go through. I felt like I was cut short, making the move to the bullpen this year put me out of my comfort zone. My dreams of making it to the big leagues was cut at age 25.

Many players can look at this situation and think their world is going to end. Not me. I am a motivated individual and I always try to look at the bright side of things. I have been blessed with a superb baseball career. I received many accolades, earned a college degree, met my future wife and met some of my best friends that will always be a part of my life. I am blessed that I was able to play for as long as I did. I am going to miss baseball extremely. The first pitch, the smell of the grass, the sound of the ball hitting the bat, and most importantly the competitive spirit of the game. I believe that baseball is the greatest game ever and it gave me exceptional joy in my life.

Life is extremely short. You have so little time to do the many things that you love. I was blessed to do something that I love so much, for as long as I did. Baseball gave me many great stories and those will never be forgotten. Now I am in a time in my life that I want to start a different career. This is not 100 percent by choice, but it is the path I have in front of me. My next job will not be as fun as baseball was. I know that I will put my all into my next job and will be successful. Life is not easy. It will throw you many punches but what matters is how you respond.

I can tell you that I might fall down but I will always continue the fight. When one door closes God will open another. I will continue to believe and follow the path that I am supposed to lead. I am a very blessed individual and am grateful for every day that I have. I am not 100 percent sure of what will happen in my life, but I know that with God’s help I will be lead down a path of prosperity.

I want to thank Jamie and the whole Through The Fence Baseball staff for allowing me to be a part of this site. I would like to thank my followers that took the time to read this blog. Lastly I would like to thank all my friends and family for all the support that you have given me over the years. It was a great adventure and I would like to thank you all for being a part of this ride. I hope that you enjoyed my blogs and hopefully this blog page can help lead me down a new path. I wish everyone all the best and hopefully you will be reading about me again shortly.
