TTFB announces All-Star lineup

Through The Fence Baseball has announced the first All-Star lineup voting courtesy of fans and TTFB writers. For the past month, fans had the opportunity to vote on the most deserving players in the MLB for 2011 TTFB All-Star teams. Below are the results and thanks to everyone for participating.

AL Lineup

Catcher – Alex Avila – Detroit Tigers

First Base – Adrian Gonzalez – Boston Red Sox

Second Base – Robinson Cano – New York Yankees (Beat Boston’s Dustin Pedroia by one vote!)

Third Base – Adrian Beltre – Texas Rangers (Alex Rodriguez had tied with him, but he’s hurt)

Shortstop – Asdrubal Cabrera – Cleveland Indians

DH – David Ortiz – Boston Red Sox

Outfield – Curtis Granderson – New York Yankees
