Welcome to Major League Baseball, Shohei Ohtani.
The rules here may be a little different.
Ohtani was intentionally walked for the first time in his MLB career last night and he was not quite sure what to do about it.
Remember: the MLB rules recently changed, allowing a team to simply state their intentions to intentionally walk without actually having to throw four balls.
Ohtani was still trying to get into the box with both the home plate umpire and the opposing team’s catcher telling him to go to first base.
