Official: Yankees acquire Lance Lynn
7:30 pm: Deal is official with both teams announcing it. The Twins will also pay half of Lance Lynn’s salary. Lynn serves as rotation depth. This is the second trade of the night for the Yankees.
Update: The Yankees have acquired Lance Lynn for Tyler Austin and Luis Rijo. Jon Heyman reported the Luis Rijo while Ken Rosenthal reported Lance Lynn moving places.
Original: In another shocking trade by the buyers New York Yankees, Jon Heyman is reporting that the Twins acquired Tyler Austin from the Yankees. Austin has been a valuable bench/platoon guy for the Yankees.
Nothing reported coming back to the Yankees yet. Could be more international bonus cash or a precursor to another trade.
