Kyle Tucker Called Up
There must be something in the water these days. Another 21 year old promising top prospect has been called up. The Houston Astros have called up Plant High School native, Kyle Tucker to the majors. They sent down Jake Marisnick in a corresponding move. Marisnick was hitting a dissapointing .190/.235/.359 slash line with only seven long balls in 153 at bats.
Kyle Tucker on the other hand, has dominated all minor league pitching. Hitting .306/.371/.520 over 80 games, knocking 14 long balls and 24 doubles. Tucker will look to push Tony Kemp or Josh Reddick into reserve/platoon roles.
Tucker is owned in only 8% of fantasy leagues. Tucker figures to get the majority of the at bats over Kemp, for mixed deep leagues, he’s a must pick up now. For shallow leagues, a wait and see approach on how the Astros plan to use Tucker is best.
