Pitcher Drew Pomeranz became the first member of the Colorado Rockies to end up in jail in quite some time. On Oct. 14, Pomeranz was cited for disturbing the peace in Oxford, Miss., site of his alma mater, Ole Miss.
No details have been released, only that he was picked up at 1:25 a.m. and released on cash bond at 4:40 a.m., according to the Oxford Eagle.
I don’t anticipate this will be affecting him, other than the Rockies coming out and saying they understand the serious nature and have talked to his agent.
I’m sure his arrest in some way has to do with the University of Mississippi ranking third on the Princeton Review of Top Party Schools. Drew seems to be enjoying his offseason; maybe a bit too much.
