Bryce Haper, Chris Archer, and Kolby Allard
What has been a swamped day with rumors and trades, the Yankees and Seattle in particular, there’s little traction on Bryce Harper and Chris Archer. Some rumblings around the league:
- Bryce Harper is rumored to be a Cleveland Indians target, reports Jon Morosi, but talks are not gaining much traction. That’s not surprising, as the Nationals want to extend Harper after the season. The Nationals will have a lot to compete against as the Indians, Yankees, Angels, Red Sox, Dodgers are all lined up to court him.
- Braves are promoting Kolby Allard, a top ten Braves prospect that has been tearing up AA and AAA. Allard will make his debut against Miami tomorrow. He profiles as a number three starter.
- Chris Archer is reportedly on his way out by tomorrow at 4PM, but where? Marc Topkin of Tampa Bay Times is reporting that the Rays have asked all teams to submit best offer. Looks as if Yankees, Padres, Braves are the front runners.
