Seems like the Oakland Athletics are set to acquire the services of Starling Marte this afternoon, per Craig Mish of MLB Network. Marte has batted .306/.407 this year for the Marlins, knocking in 25 RBIs over seven home runs.
Jesus Luzardo will head back to Miami in the 1-1 trade. Miami will cover the entire salary of Marte.

Starling Marte is headed to the A’s, Jesus Luzardo is going to Marlins, sources tell ESPN. A 1-for-1 deal in which Miami will cover the entirety of Marte’s remaining contract — more than $4 million. Marte is a free agent this winter. Luzardo isn’t one until after the 2027 season.
