Here are two scouting reports for slugger Manny Ramirez from the early ’90s. The first scout nailed Manny’s raw talent, even going as far to say (Ramirez) was the best amateur player he has ever seen and predicted his home run count in between 400 and 500 (He had 555). The scout for the California Angels did not agree, going so far as to say his strength was not power, but aggressiveness on the base paths. Being from Boston, most Red Sox fans would tell you they have never seen a player more lost on the base paths than Manny. That’s just Manny being Manny.
