The All Star break couldn’t have come at a better time for a Texas Rangers ball club that currently has 10 players on the disabled list and, during one half of the season, had up to 15 on that list. They are still two games back of the AL West leading Oakland A’s.
Miraculous? You might say that.
The Matt Garza rumors are also picking up steam and the Texas Rangers are in the thick of things. The debate, however, is what is ‘too much’ to give up for a pitcher who will be a free agent at the end of this season. According to Joel Sherman of the New York Post
“Martin Perez could be a key element for the Cubs to move Matt Garza to Texas.”
That name alone will give Ranger fans pause, especially how the left-hander has been pitching for this team of late.
